Marisa Testa often referred to as “a female hybrid of Dave Grohl and John Bonham " is a hard working, and hard hitting drummer, percussionist, singer and multi-instrumentalist. Hailing from Long Island, N.Y. Marisa comes from a musical family background and started playing music at the early age of 8 years old- first with singing, then picking up a guitar, then a pair of drumsticks. Marisa Testa graduated from Farmingdale High School, and later relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a degree in the drum program at Musicians Institute. Marisa’s first summer in Los Angeles consisted of her studying, touring and interning at Warner Brothers Records simultaneously! After playing around the Los Angeles area with numerous artists and bands, and completing her first year of studies, Marisa was asked to join celebrity artist, Corey Feldman, on three national tours.  She has also had the great honor and privilege to have worked under the mentorship of Rich Redmond(Jason Aldean) and Kenny Aronoff(numerous bands/artists).

   Marisa has had the privilege of touring, performing and recording with many artists and bands such as post-grunge band "ColorBlind", electronic pop band "Lost in Los Angeles", alternative pop American Idol contestant "Jesaiah", rock/funk/electronic artist "Corey Feldman", saxophonist Scotty Page(Pink Floyd), guitarist Dory Lobel(The Voice), Singer Debby Holiday(Rod Stewart), Bassist Sean McNabb(Dokken, Quiet Riot, Great White), and many more. In Marisa’s early career in New York, she also had the pleasure of singing at Carnegie Hall under the conduction of Dr. Jeffrey Ames.

   Recently, Marisa has gained interest within her field and is going to be interviewed for two of the top drum magazines in the near future. In addition, she has had a signature snare drum made for her, and ten limited addition snares made from the same company will be named after her and the proceeds will be going to a charity of her choice. After completing her last national tour, Marisa is ready to meet and play with new artists, bands and productions.
